Vans has been collaborating with Japanese brand WTAPS since 2006, releasing legendary co-branded takes on some of their most classic You must be registered to view this link silhouettes. Now the two partners are joining forces yet again for seven new shoes this fall-all devoid of the iconic crossbones graphic that they’ve become known for over the past decade-plus. Consisting of two Sk8-His, two Eras, two Old Skools and a single Half Cab, the new capsule collection adorns each classic silhouette with its own unique look: the Sk8-His are embroidered with red and blue flames, the Eras offer a luxe combination of rich suede and premium croc leather complete with gold eyelets, the Old Skools feature an understated combination of drab canvas and rich suede, and the Half Cab features a stealthy digital camouflage print.

Dressed in a stately black color scheme constructed of premium suede, the left and the right sneaker feature a mirror image of an embroidered dragon whose snake-like body slithers all the way around its lateral side toward the heel – lending to an aesthetic that is clearly derived from Japanese souvenir jackets. In Japan, dragons are often depicted as serpentine creatures are that are associated with rainfall and act as water deities which perfectly plays into this DELUXE offering’s icy outsole equipped with another Japanese graphic.

Renowned artist and graphic designer, John Van Hamersveld, has teamed up with Vans for a two-piece Vault collection utilizing his iconic Wave print.
